Code of ethics of the Academy of Ufology ©

Article 1 - The terms of this code are binding to the members of the Academy of Ufology.

Article 2 - Each member commits himself to respect the people, the organizations and the professional institutions, administrative, of research, or others.

Article 3 - Each member commits himself preserving the structure and the public image of the Academy of Ufology.

Article 4 - Each member commits himself contributing to the progression of research on reports of UFO observations, by the contribution of its knowledge and its participation in the activities of the Academy of Ufology. Each member is convinced that the reports of UFO observations are or can be explained differently than like exclusively confusions and inventions.

Article 5 - No member can prevail himself of his membership of the Academy of Ufology in order to draw any professional or personal profit.

Article 6 - Any member, elected by the Academy of Ufology to represent it in a public or professional meeting, will have clearly to specify if its matter is made within the framework of its mandate or if it makes a matter on a purely personal basis. It has a duty of respect of its mandate in any matter made for this reason. It has a duty of reserve and of prudence with a view to the repercussions of its acts or its remarks near the public.

Article 7 - The members could not make distinction between the members of the Academy of Ufology. They accept the exchange with each one, in order to maintain with all, good confraternity relations. A member who has a disagreement with a fellow-member of the Academy of Ufology must seek conciliation, if needed, via the coordinator of the commission where it sits in as long as regular member, or via the Permanent Council of the Academy.

Article 8 - A member of the Academy must specify the conditions of use and of reproduction of its work when it let it at the disposal of the Academy. Conditions of use of documents carried out within the framework of the Academy are specified by the Academy within these documents.

Article 9 - Each member is responsible for his decisions and his acts. He can have to report of them to the coordinator of the commission where it sits as Regular member, or to the Permanent Council of the Academy.

Article 10 - The spirit which prevails in work of the Academy must respect human dignity in general. Any matter, oral or written, any speech, thesis or research aiming to discredit a person, an ethnic or social group will be fought and its author will be excluded from the Academy. The Academy of Ufology will be able to go to court over him.

Article 11 - The title of regular member of the Academy of Ufology is not an honour, but a responsibility. The regular member has a duty of exemplarity. He has a duty of work and is a driving force for the activity of the Academy.

Article 12 - The respect and the equality between the members must be the rule whatever are the titles carried by one or the others.

Article 13 - Any member, commission, or committee will endeavour to gather and communicate the information requested by another member, commission or committee, within the framework of its research, with the exclusion of information obtained under a commitment of respect of the private life, or a commitment of anonymity, or any other limiting clause. In the event of conflict, conciliation will be required via the coordinator of the commission where it sits as a regular member, or via the Permanent Council of the Academy.

Article 14 - Any member who wishes to change of commission or to leave a commission must inform the coordinator of the commission as well as the Permanent Council of the Academy.

Article 15 - Any member who modifies his conditions of exercise or cease to exert must inform the Permanent Council of the Academy. This one takes note of these modifications and the member commits himself to don’t provide evidence for membership of the Academy.

Article 16 - Any statement, voluntarily inaccurate or incomplete made to the Academy of Ufology by a member, the Academy of Ufology will be able to go to court over him.

Article 17 - Any new member must stated to the Academy of Ufology which he had knowledge of this code and commit himself under oath and written to respect it.

Article 18 - Any regular member, member of the Permanent Council of the Academy, in the same way that any person or entity taking part at a committee and/or a commission of the Academy of Ufology, is held of a duty of confidentiality even after having left its function within the Academy. For some investigations or work the signature of a non disclosure agreement could be required.

Article 19 - Any failure in the respect of these articles can give place to to go to court.
